what would make a 1997 mustang gt stand out from the rest of the mustangs? the car show is coming and last year there were three mustangs entered and I will be the fourth to enter.

I am going to try my hardest to get the greatest reflection out of my dull paint on of my hood and the rest of the car. I will try the colorx first to try to bring some life back into the paint. by using quik detailer it adds a very deep gloss look. The paint seems to look best in the shade to hide the fade on the hood. At an angle it is hard to tell if it has dull paintAlex

Well, if the paint is in that bad of shape, and you want it to look best, I would probably go over it with ScratchX first a couple times. Then ColorX.

Don't forget to detail the engine also! I'm always shocked at shows when I see a car that nicely polished and then that hood opens and OH MY GOD what a mess! Sort of like a beautiful woman who then opens her mouth and all you see are rotten and missing teeth.

Get the majority of swirls and scratches out before you colorx, and detail the engine for the show car look. Good luck.

Attention to detail. Clean the rims, dress the tires, dress the plastic trim, clean the exhaust tip, etc. Post some photos when you get it shined up.
