Sooooooooooo Im bored and gonna rant a bit here. Im sick of my truck being all stock. I dont want like anything ridiculous I just want it to be a bit nicer. First thing I'm thinking a stainless steel grill instead of the stupid plastic one on it now. Maybe new exhaust? And eventually(and most costly) new wheels.. but yeah i wouldnt even know where to go. Im in riverside, ca do any of you from around the area know of any good places and well I know lots of you have modded cars so yeah that'd help if you could help a n00b out. By the way its a 99 toyota tacoma SR5 xtra cab.

On another subject when i was 16 and my dad owned my truck, I put stickers all over under the back window and the tailgate, I am now ANXIOUS to get them off. I have decided to go pick up some goo gone automotive formula tomorrow, and maybe one of their plastic scrapers(yeah i know it could scratch my clearcoat but its better than the nasty adhesive all over it). Nothin I couldnt bust out with my PC most likely.. plus my truck is white it hides swirls somehow.

Thanx in advance for anyone who can help/suggest anything.

    Re: Mods.

Go to google and do a search for billet grills. A whole bunch of sites will come up that cater to folks who have trucks and want a custom grill.

You can also go to billetspecialties dot com. They have billet wheels and also matching steering wheels if you want! Lots of billet stuff that will spruce up your truck rather nicely!

Good luck with your project and have fun.

Have some fun at tirerack.com - you can see how the wheels will look on your vehicle using their online application. It's pretty cool considering you can select your vehicle and the appropriate color.

Check ebay for wheels before buying though, as many sellers are located in SoCal and will often let you pick them up to avoid shipping costs. You've got a truck, so picking up such large items is no big deal for you.

Otherwise, for all other accessories and custom bits, do a google search for a forum specific to your vehicle. There's at least one out there. Be prepared to find waaaaay too many parts you'll end up drooling over. Just remember though, when it comes to personalizing a vehicle, less is more. I hate when people stick on every single chrome bit and bauble they can find for their vehicle.

As for removing the stickers, heat 'em up with a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive first. It helps a LOT.
