Well, my car sits outside. Sky is black and nasty. Hail the size of quarters is being reported. How thick a blanket do I need? 21 wont protect against it

You don't have anything you can put over your car? Comforters? Coats? Blankets of any kind? Drape yourself over your car?

Park under a tree? Any blanket will be better than nothing. Park on the down wind side of a building. Cross your fingers.

Don't laugh, I am soaked! By the time I got her car in the garage it hit hard and fast. Thankfully it was pea to marble size. That still hurt, lol

We're supposed to get some of that tonite. Cars are tucked in all nice and safe in the garage.

As long as we do not get those tornadoes. There are tornado warnings 1 county south of us.

We got hail but it wasnt too big. Smaller than an average sized rock salt. Anyone see those driveway salt things that come in the clear bottles that have perfect round beads? Looked exactly like that.

Same thing happened here but it was only for about 2 minutes and the hail was pebble size...everyone at school was like "cool its hailing", meanwhile I have my head in my hands praying that it doesn't hit my cars...

I hate hail with a passion; we get it all the time. We've had many people in our area replace their roofs due to hail damage,

Our town got hit with a tornado about a month after Katrina (Evansville, IN). I covered the damage for our school newspaper. The damage was terrifying even though it was a cat. 3 tornado. We've still got quite a few houses that are in ruines and the mobil home park is gone, but there were clean up crews there for atleast 10 months.
