Meguiars Detail Center

Hello all,

This question is more directed to the Meguiar's staff, but feel free to chime in...The other day we were going somewhere and I noticed that at the car wash down the street they have a detail center the has Meguiar's Banners and almost every product that Meguiar's makes. One banner just says Meguiar's and another say Meguiar's Detailer.

My question is, is that an official Meguiar's Detail Center or do they just use your products?? The reason I ask is, my mom is starting to nag at me to get a job for this summer and I think that would be a perfect place to work, if it is a Meguiar's Detail Center.

Anybody have an answer for this??

meguiars use to have a detailing center in lake forest, but close down about a year or so ago. as far as the car wash down the street from you, those banners were probably given to them because they use the products (just like detail supply shops have them on their wall, because they sell them), that's it.

here's an official statement...

Unfortunately, we shut down the Detail Center in January of this year (2006). There were many reasons for the decision, but the bottom line is that it was one of the best facilities we have seen and it produced some amazing work. We have taken the learnings from this facilitiy and passed it on to our customers which ultimately helps everyone.
