Re: About prices in Sweden ....Meguiars???

I do live in Norway, and also here the prices on Meguirars (and everthing else) are high.

As an example one Supreme Shine Microfiber cost approximately 17 usd. And when I get them from ADS i pay 3,59 usd. I use a freight forwarding company, and when i pay freight to norway and norwegian taxes it cost me about 7 usd totally.

My last order had a total of 350 usd from ADS, and I payed approximately 270 usd for shipping and taxes. I still saved at least 600 usd compared to buy the same stuff in Norway. It is expensive to ship to europe, and we have high taxes, but the Importer certainly does good business.

Same way for me. I get all my meguiars from USA.
Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

A profit (before taxes) of 300 to 400% is just to much. How can you explain to a regular guy instead of paying $8 for turtle wax and $30 for meguiars wax. You just can't explain that. And you need those customers to make a good business because if you have to have it from detailing lovers you won't sell enough of it. Sure, it can be more expansive but the gap between turtle and meg's is just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too big.

It's stupid, that any John Doh can order Meg supplies from the US at consumer prices, importing at consumer rates, paying cunsumer customs duties and still be a lot cheaper than buying it through the official Meguiars resellers.

I am not buying it that the Meguiars importer is paying the same price for the product from the US as an ordinary consumer. The same thing goes for the transport and customs duties.

I think John Doh is Homer Simpson's cousin. I believe he is French Canadian and his last name is spelled D'oh!
