Over spray on 40 BMW's

So today I spent the entire day in a seminar on water proofing and damp proofing. Im in the architectural business. So this speaker is telling a story about how he was out on a concrete parking structure that was having the concrete deck sealed. Well, nobody noticed that it was across the street from a BMW dealer. He said about 40 cars where covered with concrete sealer. This stuff lasts forever on a concrete drive so I would imaging that getting if off cars was next to impossible. Just thought Id share that story with you all. I think I was the only one there that was in pain when he told us that.

That's assuming you can find a good painter! Not always necessarily true. Of course from the dealer standpoint he'll probably just have his body shop do them.

IMHO a repaint (unless it's done by a custom painter) is usually never as good as the factory paint. The clearcoat is going to be soft, and the paint is going to chip much more easily. And on some colors, it's going to be very difficult to get a good match.

Yeah, feel the pain! recently they oversprayed the Maxima on my job (road construction)(thanks heaven it was old Max) with Concrete curing compound they use on the interstates etc. the sticky pink bubbly gunk what dries to a hard droplet on hard surfaces , so i went ahead with the whole arsenal and got it off fairly decent After wash and clay got the PC/G100 ready with some #2 @ speed 6 with LC white polishing pad, #9 @ speed 4/4.5 with LC white polishing pad, color-X with LC black finishing pad at speed 5 and topped it off with step 3 of the Deep Crystal combo and it was the good ole Max again
fastforward 2 weeks >>>>>>> Now we have had Industrial paint overspray over good old Max (some sort of plastic like primer) , so I started restoring with the for me good working combo as stated above (put some passsion in there with the rotary and the LC white polishing pad and #9) and so far the hood and roof are done because of time limitations Fastforward 1 Week>>>>>>> I can start all over again because of an very fine mist of the same paint overspray :cry: Some people just don't care about others property
I like to think, i need the continuous training, however, sad it is.
