    Girlfriend's Birthday

    When you have been together for 4 years, jewlery doesn't do much unless it's a ring, lol. Which i coming down the road in a bit. But for the meantime she has a Birthday in a few months and I want to look into getting her a nice TV. She has this little dinky 13" tube with bad color and nothing special. I have found the following.

    Phillips 20PF5120/28 20" LCD Flat Panel w/ Crystal Clear III




    Thoughts on this product please? I can get it through my companies employee discount for $349 w/ free shipping. It retails for around $500.

    I like Phillips products and the spec's. and price on this unit look good. I am sure she will be very happy with it. In mid. February Costco will have a Sharp LCD 20" for $250 after rebates, but I don't have the model # with me. It was advertised in one of their little passport type booklets.

      Allthough my gf isn't that much into technology but if yours is, then go ahead.

      You're right on the jewelry part though - had a five year relationship and my current one holds up for 2.5 years and when you've passed that first craze, it can be a real pain to find the "right" present for each other.

        I heard about the Sharp unit from a friend at work today. I may have to take a look at that one as well.

        It does become a little harder. I mean last christmas I got her the Light Bar for her 05 Jeep Liberty Renegade and installed it myself. This year was tickets to go see Larry the Cable Guy live at Radio City this February.

            The Sharp 20" LCD TV is Item 929520 and will be $249.99 on sale Feb 12 - Feb 18. They will also have on line item 158575 a SCEPTRE 20" LCD HDTV from January 8 - 28 for $299.99

                LCD usualy outperforms CRT, and for that price, I guess it's a good buy. As for the brand, if it ain't Dutch, it ain't much

                Anyway, happy birthday to your girlfriend.
