I am not sure what you are asking?

Meguiar's Online has nothing to do with Show Car Garage. Richard Lin, owner of SCG, does not work for nor is affiliated with Meguiar's or Meguiar's Online.

Re: Mini Cooper: attn Octane Guy

I took it as being most of us here and there as well. Then again I'm with nearly every car care forum I have found on the net either by searching or by referrals. But MOL I check at least twice a day unless I have a problem then I search the list. SCG I check at least once a day (hoping for the new rotary video which show be out soon). And any others I check once or twice a week unless I get a reply from a thread I have subscribed to.

Each forum is independently owned but their respective company's/business but MOL and SCG seem to be the only ones with a friendly and helpful user base with lots of knowledge to back them up with.

Keep up the good work and everyone have a great new year. Mines started of great. Crashed my wifes car yesterday while driving down the highway in the rain when her car and 2 other cars decided to aquaplane into the dividing drain between north and south bound lanes. We only had minor dmg to the engine and no body work to the front while the two other cars where totaled. Lucky the 3 cars didn't touch or there would ave been more dmg.

Re: Mini Cooper: attn Octane Guy

As you guys know this is my first MINI Cooper. I took it at the lot that my new future MINI was resting. (Pictures are hosted by Flickr so if you can't see them, it's because your computer is blocking this photo server)

Hmmm, here is the "new" baby. I think I can see potential in this.

So what if it's not running, and has been sitting out here for 3 weeks!

And a few stains on the seats shouldn't matter right?

So what if there are a few bugs on the paint

I had it flatbedded off the storage lot and to my mechanic, got it repaired, drove it back home, and washed it....twice! Polished it the next day, and it's been an ongoing effort. Bought some new 17" rims

Not bad for a car with 42,000 miles in a year and a half. I bought it with 38,000 miles.

                    Put on a custom plate

Did my last AutoX with the first MINI

Then Polished out and sold my first MINI (64,000 miles in 3 years)

Just for kicks, here's a customer's 2003 Jet Black MINI that I polished out around Christmas. You can compare hers to mine in the background.

Hope you like!!!!! I sure do! When I have some money, I'm going to repaint the front end. The paint is really in bad shape. I will probably have all the trim painted at the same time.

The new car looks mean, not always easy to achieve on a Mini, good luck with it. In the last picture, I hope the painter is careful and not spraying near that perfect black finish!

looks mint RIchard. as your MINI always does.

i just stick aroundhere. once and a while i head over to ShowCar only if someone posts somethere there and people talk about it here. other than that, this board has all the info i need.

Wow, never seen 15" Enkei RPF1s on a Mini before. I like it!

And that AutoX action shot is nice, watch out for cones!

The reason is probably because they don't fit! A retaining nut and threads that protrude from it were cut down in order to clear the inside of the wheels. This was something the previous owner had done. I did sell the wheels to another MINI owner, so you'll be seeing atleast another set of them on the road,
Those wheels were nice and light, but with my HSports, I was scraping over speed bumps and I already had a set of 15" rims that looked better on my car which I use just for Autox.

Hah the painter was using a brush, no spraying, and my car was only out here for the picture then it went back inside my garage.

Thanks! I got pretty lucky with finding these rims. They are unique in sort of being inside out--black spokes with an inner silver edge, helps bring out the spokes and give it depth.
