Well, today was my lucky day. Earlier in the week, I came across a really cool item on some random auction site (not ebay!). The auction had been over for a few days with no one bidding on the item, a really cool-looking vintage tin dealer sign sporting the Mirror Glaze and Meguiar's brands.
I did some digging and actually came up with the guy's phone number in North Carolina... called him up and low-and-behold he still had the item. I asked him how much he wanted for it and he sheepishly said "well, how does $10 sound?". SOLD. He charged me $4 to priority mail me the sign in a really nicely packed box. He said "You seem like a nice fella, so I'm going to throw in some stickers too!". Didn't really give that part a second thought. So, this is what arrived this afternoon:

Can you believe my luck? $14 shipped. According the the date on the back of the window decal, this stuff dates back to 1964. The little stickers that say "The finish of this car is protected by Meguiar's" are really cool too.
Sometimes you come across cool things like this right out of the blue. Now I just need to decide if it's going to go in my garage at home, or in my office at Meguiar's! 8-)
