There is also a website letssaythanks.com that will allow you (at no charge) to send troops some kind of card, saying thank you to those that are serving.

    PayPal Support
If you don't live in SoCal but would like to help anyway, then you can help by donating some money, this will either purchase more supplies or pay for shipping the supplies to Iraq, and the more supplies people donate the more it's going to cost to ship, so please consider donating some money to the cause as well. To do this, simply go to www.PayPal.com and click on the Send Money tab and enter Joe's PayPal e-mail address in the appropriate box. If you're a PayPal veteran this is no big deal, if you don't have a PayPal account or have never used PayPal it's really very simple, just create an account on PayPal and go from there. If you need help, shoot me an e-mail or call my cell and I can help you with this.

    Joe's PayPal e-mail

    joe@superiorshine . com

Note: Remove the spaces between the "dot" in Joe's e-mail address when sending funds via PayPal. If we type the entire e-mail address out as it should read it will turn the e-mail address into an Active Link and Joe doesn't need extra e-mail, the idea is to copy and paste his e-mail address, (without the spaces), into the Recipient's box on PayPal. Hope this makes sense.

    Mike,

    HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?!

I want to thank you and Meguiars for helping out!! Thank you.

I will do everything possible to be there Saturday but we do have 80 (yes I said 80) vehicles to wash for the LA Auto Show that Saturday.

I will certainly be there on Tuesday.

    Again thank you.

    ***Update***

First! - There will be a special event this Saturday at Meguiar's to help collect supplies and/or money for our troops in Iraq. Saturday will kind of be like one of our "Open Garage" events we held all summer on Wednesday nights so if you want to work on your car you can, but the priority is to collect supplies and gifts for our troops in Iraq so that Joe aka Superior Shine can send them in time to arrive before Christmas.

You must be a registered member of Meguiar's Online to attend this event and you must reply to the sign-up thread so that we have a head count for cold drinks and snacks.

This "Support our Troops" fun day at Meguiar's will start at 8:00am and go until around 5:00pm!

Second - If you can't attend this Saturday's event, then we will hold second event on Tuesday, December 5th to collect money, supplies and gifts for our troops in Iraq. There will be a sign-up thread for this class also. This will start at 5:00pm and go until 10:00pm, like our normal "Open Garage" classes and yes you an work on your car after you've made your donation to the cause.

Two awesome opportunities to lend a hand and help your fellow American!
Since both are being announced before Thanksgiving, you might even encourage your family, friends and relatives to pitch in while you're with them on Thanksgiving day and then bring your collected goods on either Saturday or Tuesday, December 5th.

We'll post the sign-up threads and send out a mass e-mail to our forum membership in the next few hours, so hang tight but in the meantime share this with your online and offline friends!

    Thanks!

Is the auction of the M16 in person only or are you going to do it on the forum also? Just thinking you'd get more, if more people could bid.
I will check my PMs and send you my address. For some reason I don't get emailed an alert when someone posts a PM to me.

    It's official!

"Support Our Troops Night" at Meguiar’s Garage!

The date is yet to be determined, but we're going to have another Meguiar's Open Garage event to enable our forum friends to bring gifts for our troops to show our support for them during this holiday season.

We also have found a few cans of M16 Professional Paste Wax that were manufactured before 2005 that we're going to auction off to raise money to pay for the shipping cost to send these care packages to Iraq.

So stay tuned, when a date has been determined we'll post it to the homepage.

Thanks Joe for leading up this project!
