Rough winter here in SoCal

Man the weather’s been rough here in SoCal the last coupled of days. It’s been so warm (90+ degrees F) and dry I have to wash my cars really early or at night or I terrible water spots.

That, and I’m not used to wearing sunscreen this time of year while driving with the top down. It’s tough but I’ll pull through somehow.

heck yeah, it was 97F in downtown LA today.

its a rough life. i see on the news that they're battling flooding in WA, ive gotta battle sunburn and heatstroke, and here it is november 7

i just moved here from ohio and last year at this time, it was like -10 degrees and we had like 2 feet of snow lol

being in socal has just extended my summer
feels good knowing that you don't have to wake up 2 hours before work just to shovel out the snow around your car so you can go to work. well you still do have to wake up 2 hours before work as that is the travel time with all the traffic LOL

Don't forget that there are only, what, 39 people who are native to SoCal so many of us know about cold winters. I grew up in South Eastern Michigan not far from Detroit, and spent two years in Indianapolis before a job transfer brought me to SoCal back in 1990. My last Christmas in Indy it was 23 degrees below zero - and that is NOT a windchill number either. On the rare occassions I go back to Michigan people say to me "but don't you miss the snow?". Yeah, sure, why would I want to drive to the beach with the top down when I could be slogging through 6" of salt laden, dirt caked slush while freezing my bum off? If I want snow I take a 90 minute drive to the mountains, get my fill of the stuff, then drive home.

Miss the snow. Silly Midwesterners!!

Yep, a bone chilling upper 80s here.

I am from Miami Florida so I don't know a thing about snow or harsh winters.

We get tornadoes, hail, scorching sun AND -zero degrees!
Right now we are on a roller coaster. 80 today and tomorrow 42 for a high Friday.
