I'm Sooo Confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's now Newport and Irvine is out??
I thought CC (Cars and Coffee) was the carryover for Crystal Cove..Hmmm..

There was a lot of confusion about this. C & C (at Ford-PAG near the Spectrum) is the "official" continuation of Crystal Cove. It is still drawing 300-500 cars a week and will continue indefinitely. This Balboa event is an alternative for people who would rather meet at the beach. Sort of like the smaller mets at 3-Thirty-3 and Ten/Tentation/Panini.
So is the show going to be solely at this new location or is it going to be split up this weekend? I went to the show this past weekend and I couldnt really get a straight answer.

Re: Crystal Cove Car Show moves back to the beach!
Here are a few pics I shot this morning at Balboa.
Rolling down Newport Ave. at 6:30AM behind a Ferrari 550 Maranello. Funny thing is, this guy wasn't even going to the show.....just a Ferrari owner in Newport Beach on his way to breakfast!!
Again, Back to the Beach is just an alternative to the C&C show. The C&C show is not dead. Yet. Ha ha j/k. I have nothing against the C&C show or people there, the location on the other hand............Stop being "underhanded" negative about a good thing.
Not sure why you feel the need to attack me on this. I was answering another member's question about C & C. After 3 years attending and photographing CC and other SoCal car events, and meeting with the officials surounding them, I have learned a few things I am happy to share to keep these kinds of events happening and running smoothly. Balboa was one of the locations we discussed when C & C was being considered and a lot of people felt PAG was a better choice. Now that Balboa is again on the table, in order for it succeed, you'll probably find my advice helpful. Don't be hatin'. I have been up front about everything from the beginning, unlike some others.

There are enough cars in the SoCal area to support both shows. What a great thing to have, a choice!
The Catalina Flyer Parking is a non-issue unless this show gets past 500 cars, which I doubt. They don't use many spots.
The area businesses are on board. They have contacted me, and are going to make us very "comfortable" with law enforcement and city council.
The C&C show was always supposed to be a "temp" home. I wasn't going to spend six months of Saturdays at an industrial complex in in Irvine, until someone found a new home.
Looks like lots of people agree.
Sorry, but my personality is wired for action. I don't do idle well.
I am trying to do a positive thing for the car community. Why there are any naysayers about this, I don't understand. Is it because they live closer to PAG? Or, do they have some vested $$ interest?
Try it you might like it. Again, use common sense on approach to the peninsula.
Oh, I now see.
The problem for Frank4cars is he is running a business shooting/selling car photo's. I have no problem with that. He does good work. The problem is he can't be in two places, at one time.

Stop being "underhanded" negative about a good thing.
My understanding is that Balboa is the new meeting place and that PAG won't exist as such. Looks like that was just a temporary home for the former Crystal Cove meet and it has finally found some new, acceptable beach front property.
Actually, the C & C show (at PAG) will continue as long as people want to go there. Best not to declare it dead until the alternatives catch on. That's why Newport Viper changed the wording. While not a very romantic spot, C & C serves its purpose well. No time or noise restrictions, large lot, good access, no fees or speed bumps, etc.
It remains to be seen if the Balboa residents will put up with all of the early Saturday traffic, one of the things that killed CC. So be good citizens and don't shake things up. And the Catalina Flyer does a lot of business on Saturdays and is guaranteed half of the parking spaces at Balboa, so don't rock that boat either. And to those mentioning possible saltwater and sand spray damage to your finish from the nearby ocean, thankfully we have Meguiar's to help with that.
