Today our Navy celebrates their 231st Birthday. I want to take a moment to bid all Sailors past and present a happy 231st celebration of the worlds finest Navel Service. Many of you may know that our Sailors have performed admirably while combating the war on terrorism over in Iraq as well as the world. That fight hasn’t come without a price. That price is the Sailors who have given their lives in the pursuit of freeing Iraq from the clutches of terrorism!! They have paid the ultimate price in order to help protect America from the wrath of terrorism. Please never forget those warriors who are not with us today!!

As a United States Naval Academy candidate, I will also join in this, wishing all our faithful a safe and joyous day.
The mission of the Naval Academy contains the words "Duty, Honor, and Loyalty..." three traits that are commonly overlooked or ignored in today's society. For 231 years our great Navy has lived by these strong words, and will continue to do so for years to come.

Re: H-Bday USN
I have no affiliation with the US Navy at all. I'm just fortunate to live in the country that these fine men and women have helped to keep free and safe, often making the ultimate sacrifice in the process. "Thank you" seems insufficient, but at least today a hearty "Happy Birthday" is in order!!Michael Stoops
