Can anyone tell me exactly how to dilute chemicals. I just received an order I purchased from ADS and I don't understand what the dilution rate means. For example...4:1, 10:1

The product you have purchased can be diluted to perform in different ways for different tasks.
What the 4:1 and so one means - 4 parts water and 1 part chemicalBrandon

Re: help with dilutions
4:1
The 4:1 will always stay the same depending on how much you want to mix
4 ounces of WATER : 1 ounce of your megs products.
4 gallons of WATER : 1 ounce of your megs product.
4 shot glasses of WATER : 4 shot glasses of your Megs products
10:1
10 shots glasses of water : 1 shot glass of your megs product.

Re: help with dilutions
If you are diluting something
to a 4:1 ratio, 4 parts water and 1 parts product will mean something like.
400 mL water and 100 mL product
making a total of 500 mL of solution.
or
4 ounces of water mixed with one ounce of product.
That would give you 5 ounces of solution.
What are you diluting anyway?
Sometimes the dilution rates may not suit the job that you want it to tackle and you could come up with your own dilution rate to suit your own taste,
by making it more or less concentrated.
example, I use APC at 3:1 instead of 4:1 (more concentrated).
Hope this helps.
