S&B Filters Highly Recommended
Alrite guys I was looking into buying a performance intake kit for My Buick Roadmaster. I looked at both the KNN Kit and the S&B kit. Most of the people I talked to had the KNN kit but after looking at pictures of both the S&B one looked much nicer with a box instead of just a cheap shield and required no non oem holes. Add to the fact S&B tests there filters far beyond what KNN does. I ordered the kit and installed it. First thing I noticed is there was no accomodation made for the air pump hose so now I had an air pump hose just sitting open in the engine compartment. I contacted S&B and was emailed back that there is a fix for this. Somewhere between this and the call I was supposed to recieve there was a misconmunication. I contacted S&B again and was PROMPTLY(5 Minutes Max) called by the owner and right then he took down my info and stated my revised parts would be in the mail along with an extra filter, and cleaning kit. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE FOLKS. I was very surpised and very delighted to see this kind of service still exists in our society. Next time you think of an intake kit for any vehicle RETHINK YOUR CHOICE and take a strong look at S&B. Not to mention this great customer service is the performance, not only is it louder, and has better throttle response but I gained 3 MPG! I'm not joking, I calculate my mileage every week and I've consistenly(3 months I've owned it) gotten 15 mpg in the city which is all I do now. I didn't purchase this for gas mileage but I filled up today and this last week which was my first full week with the Intake I got 18.3 mpg in a LT1 powered Buick. Can your KNN do that?
