I noticed that too. It's a nice webpage. Much nicer and way more functional than the previous one.

They even have a French version. In my experience, Meguiar's using that language can produce funny results. I'll check it out.

Just got an email from Michelle Medeiros. They won't sell anything online anymore.

Looks like we will have to order from the US, pay extra shipping price PLUS border taxes.

I've searched around my area and getting something simple like a water magnet is just impossible.

I absolutely love my Meguiar's products and I plan on sticking to them exclusively. I have had nothing but great results since I've switched to using Meguiar's products. I've never seen a company that actually cares about helping its customers like Meguiar's does. When I think about them helping us out, I always think of Mike Philips, what an awesome guy as many of you already know. He always replies to posts with an incredible amount of information and he takes the time to answer questions correctly.

Obviously, this only applies to Meguiar's USA. When I think of Meguiar's Canada, the only good thing I have to say about them is that I received a free product sample a while back from Greg. The person in charge of marketing is doing little to nothing for the Canadian Meguiar's customers. They made us wait so that they could make a new website. Can you honestly say that there is a point to this new Meguiar's Canada website besides the fact that it looks better? All the information from the Canadian website is available on Meguiars.com, so the Canadian website does not provide anything useful. The list of distributors is not even helpful since they don't even carry half of the products we need. On top of it all, we can't even order from the Meguiar's Canada website. I would like to know exactly what this website is for? We should be able to order some products from the Canadian site at the very least and at a reasonable price.

My opinion of Meguiar's Canada is that their service to the Canadian Meguiar's customers is very poor.

Does anyone agree with me, or am I the only one who feels this way.

I agree completely. I was trying to purchase some products from the Detailers Line, and every pbe store I called thought I was nuts.

"Hi there, wondering if you carry the Meguiars brand"
              "Yes we do!"
"I would like to order some APC, etc..etc"
              "Sorry, we dont carry that"

That is how most conversations go. I end up picking up some supplies while I am over in the states. It is sad that there is a market here, however no supply whatsoever. I was hoping the Canadian website was changing so they can add more product lines, that was not the case. Oh well, maybe it is time for another trip.

Guess I'll have to resume my quest for the "best alternative" when some of my current products run out. It may be cheaper than ordering from the US.

I'll have to keep using no name mitts found at Canadian Tire or Walmart, forget about Water Magnet and forget about getting more Trim Detailer. For the trim, at least I already have a worthy alternative, but for the rest...

Maybe I'll change my mind later, but right now that's how I feel.

Skuz: The real sheep skin wash mit is actually good! One of the only things i would ever buy from CT...and I work there

I am not too happy with Meguiar's Canada either bt I think its a few compainies put together. I think its all under the name Dominion Seal owned by Ronald Morton. Some how related to Greg Morton. Anyways I sent Meguiar's Canada ( not Greg Morton) an email atleast 8 months ago about some products and still not reply

Sorry to hear that. We're lucky here in Belgium. It’s actually the same “networking structure” as there is one store responsible for the import of Meguiars products. From that company on, Meguiars is distributed to several quality car stores.

Not every US product is available here, but most products are.

I hope, for you guys/girls, that Meguiars Canada evolves the same way as Meguiars did here in Belgium.

                        Website for Meguiar's products

I was in the same boat as many of you. Wanted lots of Meguiar's products, but none of the local dealers carried anything but the basics. No micro-fiber, no NXT window cleaner, etc.

I even had one guy at Lordco, when asked about the Deep Crystal System Polish, say, and I kid you not: "I don't think Meguiar's makes a pure polish.".... Uh.... ya......

So I finally found TCP Global, a company in California, that ships to Canada, the prices seem to be reasonable. I ordered the following (prices in US):

                        -NXT GEN GLASS CLEANER: $5.79
                        -VINYL & RUBBER PROTECTANT: $4.42
                        -DEEP CRYSTAL POLISH: $5.96
-5-pack SUPREME SHINE MICRO FIBER: $13.64
                        -QWIK WAX: $5.52
                        -WATER MAGNET: $8.52
                        -MICRO-FIBER QUIK DETAIL PAD: $4.27
-EVEN COAT APPLICATOR 2 PK: $3.41
-HI TECH APPLICATOR PAD 2 PK: $2.57

Price in Canadian AFTER shipping: $96.78

Now, not knowing all the retail Canadian pricing for these items I had to guesstimate, but I figure that after tax the same stuff would go for approx. $130 Canadian. So even if duty is another $30 bucks, I'll be ahead while getting WHAT I WANT.

I'll post a follow-up once everything arrives and I'll let everyone know final cost. But if it works out, I'll be able to stay with Meguiar's products from start to finish.

I'd rather order directly from Meguiar's Canada, but if another company wants to pick up the slack (and my money), so be it.

the high tech applicators are actually cheaper in Canada, other than that you got a pretty good deal

also i am not sure you can ship the glass cleaner!

The problem is that certain US distributors will not ship with USPS to Canada, so when your items cross the border you will pay a lot of import taxes. I just ordered from ADS and I still had to pay $30 worth of taxes which should not be the case when a package is shipped with USPS. I am guessing it's because my order was fairly large. I have had a good experience with Autogeek when ordering since they ship Canada Global Express which also makes the package arrive quickly and I didn't pay any taxes once I received it.

I have been getting my Megs from J&B, but have sometimes had to order specific things. Please let us know how this works out. I may have to start getting my stuff from TCP also.

                              Thanks.
