Over in another thread I made the statement “Thursday at our house we'll be watching the final stage in the Alps.”

Well, I did and I have to say IT WAS FREAKING EPIC!!!!!

They’ll show it again at 9:00PM Pacific time, 12:00 midnight Eastern on OLN.

If you want to see the making of sports history check it out.

Somehow, Paul, I just knew you'd post about this!!

As a former bicycle racer and a huge fan of the Tour for almost 20 years, today was the single most stunning performance I've ever seen in this event. Heck, it may be the single greatest individual acheivement I've seen in any sport of any kind.

I haven't gotten to see it on TV, but I read about it. It must have been pretty amazing! I hope he can close the deal on Saturday with the time trial!

It ain't over till it's over but in the last time trial Floyd beat Sastre by a reasonable margin and they both absolutely demolished Pereiro. I'll be on pins and needles until they all cross the line.

My money says Floyd passes guys on the road like they aren't even there and posts the best time then we all start counting down the seconds watching Carlos. But this Tour has been everything but predictable. DON'T MISS IT!

hoghead00, if there's any way anybody you know has been taping the race you've got to beg, borrow or steal it and watch the three stages in the Alps.

Everyone should be well rested after today's stage so tomorrow should be incredible! It's a very challenging course, and with the two leaders knowing full well that Landis has them firmly in their sights it will be interesting to see if they can maintain composure and keep the tires firmly planted on the ground! Try a little too hard on this one and you're going down.....literally!
