I dunno, I've watched a few episodes of this now, and although I think the concept is kinda cute, I don't really like the show.
I mean, when it comes down to it, all of Chip Foose's cars look the same; he takes these classic '60s muscle cars and pimps them up with dubs and stereos and modern bits. When he's done the car looks like the worst of both eras.
And the ending where the owner revels in the new car always feels so forced. It's like too over the top, man I love my car too but it's just a car! It's not eternal happiness, it's a thing! And now you have the added responsibility of upkeep on something that is 100% different from whatever the place you're used to going has seen....
And sometimes the pranking goes waaaay over the edge, like a show where they tell the car's owner that his girlfriend (who set up the prank) had admitted to being part of a drug ring that got his car stolen; you could see that the guy was about to throw his hands up in the air over her. It was just a little too cruel, IMO.
