  • Anyone good with digital cameras?

Camera is a Sony Cybershot. It was taking great pictures, really big and nice when resized. Then my 3 year old nephew got a hold of it and everytime it takes pictures and I open them on the computer, its two of the same picture, a small one, and a medium one.

    Anyone know whats up?

      Hey Sl1ck,

Why not post what you found out...
that way others will know why they get 2 photos too.

Its taking a "thumb" and standard shot.

My rebel does something like this with RAW+JPG

Yeah RobAGD is right, it was taking a thumbnail image as a BMP image, and another standard one (still smaller than the previous sizes) in JPEG format.

What I did was just trial and error GSKTech. ON top of the Cybershot (DSC-P10 model) there is a knob you can turn. On of the knobs said "SCN" (which now I guess means screen?). The button that deletes the files has two commands: 1. To delete the File, and 2. I had never used the other command so I pushed it when it was in "SCN" mode. Then, a menu popped up and said,

          "Image: VGN, 1.2, 3.1, 5.0"

I picked the 5.0 megapixel resolution and saved that change.

I took photos and everything was back to normal.
