  • Meguiars Sun Tan Lotion / sunblock

    I want some.

I cleaned my truck today, interior, exterior, ect. I washed it in the garage to stay out of the sun, but while taking care of the interior, cleaning stuff out of the bed, ect - I moved it outside to enjoy the day, and the sun. To say the least, I've been outside a lot in the past couple of days - and thought that sunblock would be a good idea.

I went inside and went rummaging around the house in search of sunblock. Low and behold I came across some lame little bottle of sunblock, SPF-15. "Whoohoo!" I exclaimed, knowing that I would be at least somewhat protected from the sun's rays. I walked back outside, and started to lather it on. Boy oh boy did I smell like some combination between a coconut and a fruit coctail. This annoyed me for the rest of my day - but while I was waxing with #83, #80 and NXT, I got thinking "Man, this stuff is supposed to protect the paint from the sun - why not me?" as I unscrewed the cap to my NXT Tech Paste.........

Luckily, The thought of lathering myself up with NXT Tech Paste didn't seem like the brightest thing to do - but it got me thinking. Meguiars should make a "Meguiars smelling" sunblock, instead of this sissy coconut fruit **** that everyone else has.

...and at the very least, I'm sure a couple people enjoyed this story.

...if not, oh well. I haven't posted on MOL for a long time, ok!

Funny story. I was thinking, if Meguiars did make a sunblock, would you apply it on yourself with a DA polisher? If you do decide to try NXT on your skin, make sure use the blue painters tape to protect the cracks and crevices from splatter. Don't forget to post before and after photos.

I can relate. I have pretty thin hair these days and hate wearing hats so I use Banana Boat spray-on SPF 30 sunscreen. Doesn't smell much, is not greasy and it doesn't require rubbing. Just mist it on and you're good to go. Lasts all day for me and no more sunburn.

If Meguiars made sunblock, I'm assuming they would have a "quick detailer" spray to touch up after you get out of the pool?

Yes, but that is applied after you towel off with a supergiganto sized Micro Fiber towel.

Would it protect your Skin from both UVA/UVB or would I need to apply Hyper Dressing over the sunblock?

Maybe different lotions as well - the 'natural gloss' look, the 'extreme shine', the 'endurance' series?
