  • I wish it would rain...

My city put up water restrictions, I was cited today for washing a car duing a detail. I'm now only allowed to wash cars at the swirl factories. So I'm planning on doing a QD on my Jeep, then #21 and closing down my mini-detailing buisness I suppose.

Anyone know how to deal with water restrictions? I'm out of a pastime/weekend job now...

wash mat? do some research, some states wont care as long as it doesnt enter the storm drains, you can collect and dump it in your lawn i think, dont take my word for it though

I wish it would stop raining here! It would rain 5 times a week since April. During May, I didn't see the sun for over two weeks, that's just depressing!!

Its not so much as a chemical concern, but as a water conservation. The lake my town (Plano) get its water from is 11 feet below the norm. There no watering of your lawn except by hand after sunset I think.

It does seem like a good idea to just fill up a large tank of water and keep it on hand...

There are “no hose/no rinse” wash products on the market that only require a bucket of water and your mitt. I wouldn’t try to use one on a heavily crusted car though. I'd probably take a really crusted car to a coin-op to get the big chunks off first (spray only, don't ever use their brushes).

Meguiar’s doesn’t make this type of product. Try Googling for Protect All Quick & Easy Wash and/or Optimum (Chemicar) No Rinse Wash & Shine.
