Meguiar's stuff smells too good?!

I live across from a pond, and all the swarms of baby bugs are starting to come out. At least a few dozen bugs died today drowning in DC soap bubbles, and dozens more that I sprayed off while trying to dry the car without smearing bug guts everywhere. Every Meguiar's product I've used so far smells so gooood, but it's starting to get annoying b/c all the bugs swarm onto the car. Does Meg's make any non-scented stuff? I haven't tried the Pro or Detailer lines yet..

On a brighter note, after I was done I saw a bee-sized bug try to land on my hood, but it slid all the way down and bounced off

It smells too good, but I love it! The Endurance tire gel is my favorite -- grape kool aid. All of the Nxt products seem to have a citrusy smell to them. The GC and professional stuff I've tried smell more like "good" car products -- i.e., they smell like you think wax, etc., should smell like.

I don't think the scent has anything to do with the bugs, however. I think the bugs are just attracted to clean cars, for some reason. I always have a lot of gnats on my car after washing. I'm thinking maybe because the car is relatively cool after having been washed?

You would have loved Meguiar's Acid Rain Correction Cream ( no longer made).. it had a cinnamon aroma to it!

There was another polish they made in the Pro line (I can't remember the number) that smelled like baby lotion.

This might sound weird, but I think #21 has an awful smell to it. Its sickly sweet and after you've been using it for a while it smell terrible.

Otherwise my favorites are NXT Liquid Wax, Glass Cleaner, and Hyper Dressing.

I guess I’d prefer no scent at all but I consider a light fragrance preferable to an industrial chemical smell.

I don’t know if the bugs are attracted to the “perfumey” smell or not but if you want to try something without it try #00, #62 or Hyper-Wash.

Shampoo Plus gets my vote for fragrance. The smell is pleasant but not strong.

Now I don't mind the smell of #21 or anyother Meguiars products I have used other than the smell of NXT Car Wash, it drives me crazy.... at first its OK but after a short time the smell gets very annoying.

How about *worst* smelling product? I used to like the smell of Lexol leather conditioner, but after doing both of our cars at one time recently, I was getting naeusous (sp?) of that smell. Much prefer GC leather cleaner and conditioner!

Foam Leather Cleaner is very nice....clean, yet not fruity with hint of jasmine

DC wax is my favorite smell, oh man, everytime I apply it, it makes the whole garage smell awesome, adn since everyone has to walk through our garage to get into the house people will say whats that awesome smell. DC1 is the worst for me, It reminds me of eating something really really bad that my girlfriend made one time..lol

I voted "no" that scent doesnt matter... its a deffinate plus but I would use Meguiars even if it smelled like, well, chemicals?.?.?.?

Ive already posted a "Product Suggestion" in the appropriate forum here.... I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to have a handfull of Meguiars product scents available as air fresheners.
