I was making the generalization about general OTC easy to get, "shady" products. Of course, I read the link you gave me, and its octane engineering by what seems to be a reputable company, of course I would not dismiss it entirely as a hoax if this was the case. He was referring to regular, snake oil type of products. I agree, there are products that are scientifically engineeried to improve performance, but I do not believe that what he was referring to is that type of product.
