I've seen a couple of the XLR's around Dallas. Its a great lookin caddy, dont think of it as my dad's car anymore.

I'm guessing this is trying to compete with BMW's M Series perfomance coupes.

      not a grandpa car either!

Never thought of the competition, you mention that but the guy who bought it traded in an older M3 convertible.

I saw an XLR the other day. I didn't know what type it was. Now I do, Thanks . It is a really nice car, the stance reminded me of the new corvettes, but that is probably all in my head.

Not 100% sure but seems to me the XLR is built on the corvette platform.

i took a cts-v for a spin, it doesn't feel super fast but the engine does feel like it has some go to it, and it feels like you are going slow when you are doing about 150kmph ish
really got to look at the speedometer a lot more then i am used to

I was invited to a special Cadillac test and got to drive a CTS-V and an STS-V. For a big car the STS-V handles extremely well......and the sound of that blower is sweet!

I drive a Deville and have seen them at my dealer but have not driven one. I guess I'm too old because I no longer have the desire to drive fast. However, on a trip this past weekend, a CTS-V passed me and it sure sounded sweeeeet!

I stopped at a light and a CTS-V pulled up next to me. The guy obviously didn't care much to keep it up.

It looks like it was driven in the winter and not washed or waxed properly. It was a silver color and had really bad swirls.

I had to do a double take to make sure it was a CTS-V and it definiitely had the emblem.

I guess having some money to buy that toy means you don't need to take care of it.

The XLR is based on a Corvette platform and is the first vehicle to be manufactured with Corvettes in their Bowling Green facility. The similarity between the XLR and the Corvette stance is definitely there.

The engine is a pure Cadillac design and build. Pictures and brochures are nice, but to see one on the road or drive one puts it in a whole different league.
See the big picture, enjoy the details
