    Question about Meguiars history

    Since Meguiars started out as a furniture polish maker, when did it transition into a car surface care company?
    Also who is next in line when Mr. Barry Meguiar retires?

    The first part is pretty easy... Since cars were originaly made of wood, and laquered wood, Meguiars products were always used on cars.

    Since they become well known for wooden car care, when painted metal, etc came out, they decided to go with it and develop products for those surfaces.

    The second part I dont know.. but I bet the name ends in Meguiar...

      Well thats pretty interesting. I'm the 6th generation in our family company (started 1852) and I hope Mr Berry Meguiar has a son or daughter who will continue after he retires.
