  • Meguiar's detail day at McGuire's

Hey everyone, my brother has been after me for several weeks to come down and do some detailing, so the weekend of Memorial Day, in Mooresville, NC, we will be having a detail weekend at my sisters house. I have two brothers, a sister, couple of nieces, and some friends that want to expand there car care technics. So I will be loading up all my Meguiar products, PC, and Rotary, and heading to her house. Will take pictures, before and after. I will make them watch Mike's video first, then we will start on there cars. Should be alot of fun.

Well we had a great time. It was really hot. On Sat. at 6 pm it was 99 degrees. I had a chance to try out some new products on my Trailblazer while he was polishing out his truck. I used Safe Degreaser on the tires and wheel wells. I also cleaned the engine. Man that stuff works great. After I washed mine and cleaned the tires, looked at the finish and thought, all I need is wax, so I helped him. We washed and clayed his truck. After that we did a test spot. We use 80 on the PC. Then tried 83 and didn't see much difference so we went with the 80 on the whole truck. I let him do it all with little tips along the way. I must say he did a very good job and will get better with time.
      Here are some pictures.

This was after, wash and clay, 80 w/pc and 8006 pad, 21.

      Here is the proud owner,

      Another shot,

I have to confess I did work on the hood with the rotary and some Diamond Cut and a wool pad, 83 w/8006, and he finished it with the pc and 80 w/8006.

Oh yea, heres mine with 21,

      and the reflection,

Thanks for looking, had a great time, and I taught someone how to take care of their truck.
