  • New Toy!

    Well.. I did it!

Mrs. Gonzo's Jeep has been paid off since September, my son is graduating from UMass Dartmouth in a month, ands now I can afford to buy a toy...

    A 2006 Ford Mustang GT

It's Tungsten Gray clearcoat metallic (when the sun hits it, you can see some bluish purple in the metallic), light graphite leather interior, 5 speed automatic, shaker 500 audio system, the interior upgrade package, side impact air bags, the anti theft alarm system and 17" polished aluminum wheels with locking lugnuts.

The 2001 'stang is my son's car. I am keeping the F150 as my errand runner (detailing supplies, Home depot, etc.) and winter driver ( it's still in excellent shape for it's age and it's paid for ) The New Mustang will be a spring/summer/fall car.

I pick it up next Monday!

All right! Post pics when you get it.
Make sure dealer does not wash it. You will get DISO! Enjoy it. Thats what my parents did when they retired. They got a 2005 Buick LeSabre Custom.

Congratulations - you'll love it. I've got a triple black 2006 GT convertible and it's the best car I've ever had.

I can't wait to do the first detailing.

      Good luck and enjoy!

It's good to be a Captain!

I have already spoken with the dealership about trying to "wash it or buff it". All I want is the plastic taken off the seats and carpeting, so it can be "Gonzoized" properly.

This is my toy... not a "whackermobile!"
The only decor to identify it as being owned by a firefighter will be to have the IAFF decals on the windshield and Backlight!

"whackermobile" thats a new one.. I will have to wait until I see some of the guys here and tell that that one.. Some depts here they have so many lights on there POVs they look like a christmas tree on wheels. You should see them from that air at night when we fly in. Looks like a circus.

The local dealer in Orlando offered my a 06' GT Premuim Convertiable with a 5 speed and aftermarket navi for 26,400... The sticker was 33,100 plus 1800 for the navi, so its almost 9000 g's off. Apperantly they aren't selling well at all.

I picked up the 'Stang this afternoon. It is in a word....

                          : SCHWEET!

I am presently applying the second coat of NXT to the paintwork and took a break to let it set up.
