Found someplace in the www....

I usually do one-step process. The cleaner waxes sold by Meguiars, Mothers, Turtle Wax etc. are designed to remove road grime during wax application.

talk about mis-information...

Well, it isnt totaly wrong, assuming they washed first. But the cleaner/waxes probably arent strong enough to remove tar without lots of work, effort, rubbing, wasted time.
