Thank you very much for your condolences and keeping us in your prayers, you don’t know how much it means to us during this difficult time!
You will never realize how much friends care for you! We had the funeral all planned out, but there was some planning by my co-workers that was unknown to us until today at the funeral that everyone attended will never forget!
As being a paramedic, Im friends with law enforcement, and many fire fighters. Bag pipers played Amazing Grace at the church ceremony and also at the burial ceremony. They set it up and took 2 of the 3 helios out of service and called in a few off-duty pilots to have one helio fly to the church so Brian could have his first and last flight in a helio from the church to the cemetery. The fire dept. was at the entrance of the cemetery with there aerial ladders up and crossed with American Flaggs draped down. During the burial ceremony the other helio flew over at low altitude and low speed and tossed out hundreds of multi-colored flower peddles that came raining down in the clear, calm, sunny day right after the bag pipers got done playing Amazing Grace.
Tears in my eyes. We don't often realize what friends and family and co-workers, and yes even unknown posters online mean until a time comes when their time and effort and thoughts and prayers are such a source of comfort and strength.
