  • Meguiar's owes me some pants

I was looking through my closet earlier today in need of a decent pair of Jeans.

All my jeans have faded/worn spots on the knees and I know it comes from working on vehicles. I have been trying to get in the habit of using kneepads but it is a hard habit to get into.

Walmart had a neat little set of kneepads I picked up. Not very durable but very lightweight. Made of foam and I don't think they cost but about 3-4 bucks. Pretty comfortable when worn.

I need to move to California. Seems like everytime I catch Joe (Supierior Shine) in a picture at work he has shorts on.

Don't let the avatar drawing fool you! I have shorts on at least 350 days a year!

I also use $50 knee pads I bought at Lowes.

They have a nice gel cushion in the inside with a hard plastic shell on the outside.

I bought them last summer. I weigh a wispy 280 pounds and have yet to destroy them.

I have some similar to what you are referring to but don't like wearing them for extended periods of time. The straps get behind my knees and bug me.

These little cheaper ones are working pretty well for me. Usually if I go donwn on my knees it's only for a few seconds. Any longer than that and I'll pull out the roll around stool and have a seat.

But for you I would guess that would just be another piece of gear to have to haul around and put back in the truck after every job.

Hey, it isn't all warmth and sunshine around here. Why, just last night I had to wear long pants and long sleeves (while driving my convertible with the top down at 9:30PM ).

            PC.

Give me a break. I had Long Johns "&" Insulated coveralls the other night when I was doing some work outside.

Certainly created some bad mental pictures!

I've been known to talk with a couple size tens in my mouth, so no worries.
