Has anybody ever worked up a decent Window Decal for the Forum?

I am kind of pround of what I have learned here and would like to draw people's attention to the forum. I am not a bumper sticker kind of guy but would certainly not be opposed to placing a good looking window decal in my truck.

I was just wondering if someone may have already worked wiith some company who already has the Graphics done up.

I think that would be awesome to have a meguiar's online window sticker. I would put one on my car if their was one.

Has anyone one thought of a motto to put on the sticker?

I dunno how much something like this would cost. I have never done anything like it before. I would imagine a decent graphics operation would likely charge about 40-60 bucks for intial layup then another 20-40 for the actual sticker itself.

We have a graphics company up the road so I just might have to stop in there and do some asking.

I tell you what would be great. If Meg's would eat the cost of the intial workup then actually sell the decals and any profit made go for a charity. But that would take manpower hours to work from their end so I am likely pushing my luck there. Nice thought though.

I am going to check into this. I am pretty pround of what I have been learning here and have absolutely no issues with letting folks know where I learned to do what I do.

Ideas and creativity are creeped back to me.

Jeff & “the other pc” how about a static cling decal. I found this company called Rightlook.com online just now that could make these for about a dime each. I like the proceeds to charity aspect but I believe we would need somebody at Meguiar’s to be involved as this is their logo. Sell them to us because they are cool and we want them for maybe a quarter each. Minimum sale of??? I would like the line “next detail date” and a blank area to write this date just under the MOL logo. Just a thought.

The idea of a decal and a shirt has come up in the past but it's never got traction here at work. I'm going to forward the link to this thread right now to one of my teammates here at work and see if we can't get some traction going...

I find that surprising--is that why most of the Meguiar's shirts are no longer in the store, because they don't sell? Is it one of those things that everybody wants, but only as a freebie? Considering that we are inundated with logo apparel everywhere else...I'm surprised that the Meguiar's stuff isn't more popular with management/the public.

                Mike,

Perhaps your people don't grasp the full marketing advantage this offers. For example when wearing a logo shirt, that logo is likely to be seen by hundreds of people for each person wearing it.

Brand recognition is a BIG deal. When average Joe consumer walks into an automotive store looking for some product he may not have a clue what to buy. The shelves are loaded with stuff. You get him with your brand.

You want your brand to be the first thing that comes to mind when anyone thinks quality car care products.

Depending on the size quantity, and detail of the design is depending on what the sticker will cost. We get our stikers made for about .50 - .60 a piece, but they are only 10"x1"

That would be nice to have a Meguiar's decal for the car. Just think what people would say when they see it on the window of your car. Especially after it was detailed. I got a decal from Car Crazy Central for the car.

I agree. People are basically saying they will pay you for something that will pretty much advertise y'all. How could you get a better deal than that?

I have a connection at work for signs/decals and such, it takes him a little while to get things done but its first class work. I have been going to see if I can get one made but I don't want to use any logos that I am not authorized to use.

Maybe it could be an interior mirror effect decal.l... in my opinion those last longer since they are place inside the car and don't get exposed to the elements or the weekly washes we are all accustomed to giving our rides.
