Anyone have any suggestions on car covers for heavier duty protection, like from reasonable sized hail, or a small branch, etc.

I have been browsing the Covercraft website, since the ysound like the best, but not sure if the regular would be thick enough, or the HD cover, or one of the other fabrics? The Technalon Evolution actualy mentions resisting small dings, not sure if it is made by Covercraft though. Meguiars probably doesnt sell that one either.

It would probably get tossed on in an 'emergency' so to speak, so I know the car might be wet/dirty when it goes on, which would probably leave a swirl or 20, but less than dings/dents I imagine.

Or maybe nothing would quite fit that description.

California Car Cover http://www.calcarcover.com/how_to_se...spx#stormweave has one which I believe is called "Stormweave". I have several. Probably the most protection you can get in a car cover. The only problem is that they don't fold up very well and will not fit in a small trunk.

BTW, I've found California Car Cover a great company to deal with. They honor their warranties to the letter. I had a car cover start to fall apart after 2-1/2 years (3 year warranty) went in to buy a new one and they didn't charge me!!!

Well, based on that link, it kinda sounds like Stormweave and Evolution are the same fabric, so it must be a good thing then if you like it.

I had called Covercraft, and they are sending small fabric samples to me, including the Evolution, so I'll get to feel how thick it is.

Thanks a lot for tthe info...
