  • Are you like Tim Taylor

Is anyone like Tim Taylor. I'm like him when it come's to auto part store's. When I go in them I look at everything. Just drooling over the great thing's I would like to get. I sometime's just og to the auto part store to look at what they have. The thing is I don't leave the store empty handed. Tim Allen even own's his own racing team. It's called Tim Allen/Saleen RRRRacing.

I know the Manager of my local Autozone pretty well. I am into detailing pretty bad and do alot of friend's cars just for the fun of it. But I make them do it with me. There are products like Clay and QD that I do not provide. I amke them go to the local AutoZone and buy it.

I have spoken with the Manager about this and what he has done for me is to set up a plastic tub in the back storage room and he keeps me a few extra of each product I use in the back. That way if I send someone in to pick something up and they are sold out of what is on the shelf, the person I sent can say I sent them and they'll take them to the back and dig it out of the tub.

I talked to him about this before because I explained to him that I can send business his way if he can make sure he has the products available or I'll just buy in bulk and sell it to them myself. I think he knows I am into this and saw a couple of dollar signs.

He even sends people to me as well. Just a few days ago I had a nice young lady approach me who had her VW keyed and the AutoZone folks told her to find me. It was brand new and black and I explained to here that it was a little beyond my experience level to repair brand new black paint on someone else's vehicle so I did recommend Scratch-X to her. To minimize the Key Scratch a little. I recommended she hold tight on repairing the Scratch for a bit. Keep it waxed and wait until she go a couple more and then deal with them all at once. She liked the idea and ran with it.
But yes, to answer your question, I am terrible with all this stuff. Just tonight I bought a can of NXT Insane Shine and know full well I must have 4-5 other bottles of various Meg's Tire Shines or dressing at the house.
