    "Don't lean on my car."

Then I just move the conversation along. I don't put them down or get angry, and so the other person doesn't feel the need to argue. They just stop. I have had my best mates grab the roof rails and pretend its on hydros, but considering I'd do the same thing on theirs we call it fair game.

Never had a problem with strangers walking up to me and actually touching it. They stare, and occasionally talk, but I think the car itself gives a "hands off" impression.

Without missing a beat I go right into my 12 second sales pitch, that a proper finish takes hours of time and money and blah, blah, blah… that for a new customer [them] I will wash their vehicle to evaluate their finish and that I would be willing to restore their vehicle. They either walk away like I have the plague [gets them away from the vehicle] or they become chatty Cathie’s and I may have a new client/friend. I attempt to remember that there is a village looking for [their] idiot and I have found just the correct candidate for the position. Makes me smile. Al

Yep same thought came to mind to.

Seems the picture he had is broken but the story is all there

"I was leaving a show at a local bar/restaraunt Thursday night (first off, I'm underage. I was NOT drinking). As I approached my vehicle I saw some guy leaning on my truck. I understand some people are just rude like that, so I kept my patience. I told him "Hey, could you get off my truck?" I wasn't trying to start anything, I just didn't want him on my truck. He snapped back with some response about how he wasn't ruining the truck...."

        Here's the thread

You never know if you're going to be dealing with a psycho! Besides with the techniques learned on this forum I can try to remove any scratch or imperfection that was left on my car....its easier and safer.
