  • Finally Back. Hopefullly for a while.

Folks, I have been hard down for a while here. They have the cable all torn up on the road leading to my house so I have had no internet access from home. Stinks!! I have 6 computers sitting there and no net access. It's going to take me 3+ days to download all the latest virus updates and such when they get it back up.

At work they have been doing some major upgrades to the computer system here and for some reason I could not access the forum. For the heck of it, tonight I tried again. All of the sudden I can get in again.

Looks like alot has changed in the past couple of months since I have been down so as long as I can keep getting in from work I'll try to figure out which end is up and start pitching in again.

I have still been hard at keeping that Ridgeline up to par. It's 4:15 AM here on the East Coast and I just got finished putting a coat of Gold over the coat of #20 I applied yesterday. ;-)

I am most happy to be back and hope I can continue to contribute.

          Jeff,

I too had wondered why you were not around. Glad all is well, other than the computer stuff.

Hey, it's supposed to be 70 degrees here in MD for Saturday!! Hoping I can get a round of golf and a detail in that day.

          See you around.

Yep, I guess the logic is they are replacing all the poles in the area with new poles. My internet at the house would be up one day and down the next but never seemed to be up when I had time to get anything done.

This is 2 nights in a row at work that I can get in so all is good from here.

It was a pain detailing without the assistance of the forum members. There have been a few times where I was up to something and had a thought I wanted to put out to drum up some commentary. Nice having other folks to bounce things off of.

Looks like I might be in for a summer of detailing boats for extra money. I have been tlking with the manager at the local boat yard/yaght club who says quite often they pick up additional help in the warmer months. Would be great to get hired on there and get some hands on training from folks who do it for a living. Hope it all goes well.

He actually approached me about this as my mother part times there as the cleaning lady. She recently had carpel tunnel surgury so I have been helping her with the mopping and trash until she gets back up to par. He has seen my truck there and said he had been trying to figure out who I was as it was kind of obvious I was into that sort of thing.

Anyway, glad to be back. It will likely be a couple of days before I can get back into the swing of things as I have to refresh my memory on putting together proper posts with pics and such.
