  • Caring for undercoating?

Ok, the other half wants to know-we are undercoating our 73 to hide some of the evidence of the metal work that's been done, plus it was undercoated to begain with. Any thoughts on a product to use to help keep it plyable and not crack?

Some of the newer formulations of undercoating don't dry all the way (ever) and thus resists cracking better than the older asphalt-based stuff. Besides keeping it clean, you can always just wipe it down with a solvent from time to time -this will strip off the top layer- and then respray a little fresh undercoating on top of it.

Some people get decent results by treating it the way they do their tires too, with an ERV dressing.
