I expect the new hire to be netting about $25,000 a year from now. And that doesn't include vacation, health and bonus pay.

Not to highjack the thread, but what's up with all the negative comments and haters?
Superior is trying to run a business here, so if you don't have something useful to say concerning his need for employees, don't say it at all. If he wants to pay $7.00 and require a drug test for employees, so be it.
I highly doubt anybody wants to hand over the keys to a $100,000 vehicle to have it buffed by some kid who got high before work.
Best of luck superior in your search for finding employees and in the 2006 year of business!

I don't see what difference it really makes to some, esp. when you guys are in no way interesting in applying for the job, based on some of your locations.
Besides, working for Joe would be the detailing experience of a lifetime. If I lived there, I would beg for the opportunity to learn rotary under him, and would do that for free, much less gripe about the pay. I'm a college student who rarely gets time to fully detail my vehicle, but these are skills that I give a lot of respect to.
Good luck to you Joe, and it's great to hear that your doing well enough to expand yet again!!!:

Would you want to let someone high on marijuana go at your car with a buffer?
Didn't think so
Of course I wouldn't. Taking a drug test though come on. If the guy is a stoner you will know pretty quick with out a drug test. I would think anybody that would agree to a drug test for a $7.00 an hour job is an idiot. I wouldn't want that person working on my car either.
