Does anyone know of a product to make my track pad on my laptop grippy again? have found the time time slick and shiney are not good attributesMy track pad has become shiney and slick (attributes we are always looking) from use and slick and shiney are not good attributes. These attributes make the track pad difficult to use for input.

    Any help would be appeciated.

If the rubber is worn, as is often the case with shifter handles, then there's not much to do to remove that gloss and slickness.

If, however, the slickness is due to finger oils or other types of lubricants (using the pad after just eating a handfull of greasy potato chips and not washing your hands), you can use a bit of a cleaner to help remove the oils and dull the rubber back to its state of grip. Obvious care has to be taken to not soak the area and damage the electronics of your laptop.

Should I try something like a foaming glass cleaner?

If you have some, that's a good suggestion. If not, you can always put some of the APC on a towel, then rub the shiny areas.

The glass cleaner worked., but need a couple of applications. The touch pad is still shiny, but not as slick.

I replaced the tracking pad on my laptop. If you're interested, you can usually find guide's online for opening up the laptop of your choice in order to improve cooling systems, replace keyboards, track pads, processors, etc.
