  • Picture upload problem

    I need help!
The other day I tried to upload a photo. I was going to respond to the guy that was trying to smooth out his interior plastic parts. So, I took an Acrobat flyer I downloaded, converted it to a small jpeg and attempted an upload here at MOL.

To fast forward, I ended up having Mike Phillips upload it for me, and The actual jpeg is in the gallery now:

Anyway, when I originally tried to upload it, the title on my jpeg was different - It had a couple spaces and a pound sign, etc. I didn't think it was a big deal but Mike says that's where the problem must be, or the fact that I created the jpeg in Photoshop. So, I am taking that all into consideration for future uploads.

The problem I am having NOW is this: I can't seem to purge my upload file (or whatever the technical name is). No matter what I try to upload as a picture, I get this as a response:

Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg(): gd-jpeg: JPEG library reports unrecoverable error: in /home/httpd/vhosts/meguiarsonline.com/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 81

Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg(): '/home/httpd/vhosts/meguiarsonline.com/httpdocs/gallery/uploads/554/Polyprimer_p21.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /home/httpd/vhosts/meguiarsonline.com/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 81

    Unable to create image [/home/httpd/vhosts/meguiarsonline.com/httpdocs/gallery/uploads/554/Polyprimer_p21.jpg].
    Please contact system administrator.

Any ideas on how I can get rid of this so that I can upload some pics? I want to do a write-up on the Alpine Electronics session Joe, Jason, and I did with the Alpine crew.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kevin,

I went through your log in/member info and do not see anything wrong. Perhaps try logging out and also clearing your cookies. I will also let Mike know so he can get one of the techs to take a look if the above does not work.

Thanks for the input. Mike also recommended the same thing - Log out. I did that without luck. I'll try again.

I use two completely independent computers, too. Same problem on both.
