  • Crash!!! (Pics)

    My poor car

Went to my friends in Brentwood for dinner tonight.

Sitting minding my own business in the lounge and suddenly BANG!!!! Someone has driven down the road fell asleep (at 17:20) at their own admission, crossed 2 driveways and hit my car side on just above the rear RHS wheel. My car has spun 180degrees just missed my mates Porsche Cayenne but hit his neighbours new Hyundi Coupe and the car a (Ford Fiesta) has kept going into a nearby hedge.

The driver didnt even break!!!!! Police Fire Brigade, Ambulance etc on seen, the driver refused medical attention but admitted to being on Anti Depresents (think i need some now). Not sure what action if any Police will take. So 2 hours on the phone to my insurers and i'm just home courtesy of a untouched Cayenne.

Tis the season to be jolly la la la .....

    Oh Poo!

I am so sorry to hear this. I was out driving last night and it's an absolute nightmare to be driving right now.

I hope there is some remedy available to you through the other driver's insurance.

    Hate to do this but...

    (sorry... )

        Very disappointing news

Hearing a crash while outside a vehicle is quite a startling sound, isn't it?
See the big picture, enjoy the details

glad you weren't in it, and are safe

cars can be replaced, people can't

believe me from my tow truck driving days, I've seen some very unlucky people.

                Ok Mike you wanted photos

My car the black Celica was parked straight behind the Cayenne on the right.

The car that hit mine came from the right and hit the rear side of mine and it ended up where it is in this photo.

                This was the result

See the bow in the roof on this one!

Not yet sure if its repairable The alloy was pretty buckled and the roof bowed so there could be unseen damage. I've had better days.

Yea, it's always a bad situation when you get into a car accident, no fun for anyone except maybe the people making money off the repairs :P

I just got my car back after a 46 day repair totalling $13,000+ damage.

I feel for you, years ago I had something similar happen. I had just bought a black 1970 GTO, not new but had under 3K miles on it, beautiful car in it's day. Only had it for a few weeks and had just pulled up in front of the house, too lazy to park it in the driveway.

Some "greaser" took the corner wide and t-boned it, totaled it out. I went ballistic, but looking back, now that I'm much older and wiser I like to think, I'm thankful that I or my wife wasn't in it as it wasn't parked very long.

Be thankful your OKAY, sheet metal can be repaired or repleced.

I still wonder though, what that "goat" would be worth today...Bill
