  • Brush in detailing commercial

I was on video.google.com today, and I found this commercial from a car detailing company. Here, they use a brush to get into the tight spaces on the car's exterior. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on using such a brush:

A fine detail brush is the best way to get wax residue and such out of tight crevices and cracks.

Meguiar’s Triple Duty Detail Brush used with plenty of QD does a great job.

How soft are the bristles? When I saw them wiping around the Porche emblem, I was like WHHAAAAAAAAT?

I have the Triple Duty Detail Brush used and a QD like the other pc.... but I tend to shy away from it on the paint, I use it on plastic and the emblems them selves. I reach for a plain old Q-tip for detailing around emblems on the painted surface.

The Triple Duty Detail Brush is VERY handy!

The bristles are very soft. I haven’t seen any signs of marring with it.

I haven’t tried to deliberately cause swirls with one yet, been meaning to try that on a test panel.

Q-tips won’t reach down in the narrow crevices that bristles will.

I’ve also used the Slide Lock Detail Brush in crevices. It’s actually too soft but I was going after old wax in deep crevices on a black Ferrari Testa Rossa yesterday and the Triple Duty brush wasn’t handy so...
