I saw an add for Meguiar's Guitar Polish. Is this a real Meguiar's product. If so has anyone used it. I'd like to try some if it can make my guitar look like my truck does after Meguiar's.

Guitar Wax?

Hi jcma81
Meguiar's manufactures products for a number of different companies, Fender being one of them. Fender, if I'm correct, uses polyurethane basecoat/clear coat paint systems on a majority of their guitars. Polishing the paint on a guitar with this type of finish would be treated just like polishing the paint on a car with a basecoat/clear coat paint system.
We have a bunch of Fender Guitar bodies floating around the Irvine office that we tested by wet-sanding, cutting and buffing.
I'll post some pictures.

I have been using Meguiar's #26 Yellow Wax on my Yamaha acoustic guitar for a number of years.
Giving your guitar a good coat of wax is a very good way to keep it looking like brand new. And who knows, it may even sound better too.
