I bought one of those mitts from Wallyworld about 2 months ago. I used it for about 5 weeks of 1 wash per week, rinsing it thoroughly and squeezing it dry and suspending it to finish drying. It was the biggest piece of trash I had ever used! The hairs kept getting yanked out in my cars trim, and after 5 weeks, the entire wrist portion of the mitt had just fallen apart as I was putting my hand into it! Not to mention how stiff it was after it had dried...

So, I am now trying to find the best type of washing implement to wash my poor car that has not had a wash in 2 weeks now...

I use Viking 100% cotton chenille mitts with the Cotton Logo on from the American Cotton Industry works well for me.
You can find them at Oriely's Auto Parts or can order online at Partsamerica.com
After 4 months I switch to a new one .

i use only real lambs wool wash mitts its the only way to go

I use a Chenille mitt, those bright green ones with all the little "fingers" you see at Advance. I buy a new one every few weeks just to keep it fresh

the gold class wash brush is great,leaves no "swash" streaks

Chenille mitt is my main washing mitt, but I just bought the new Microfiber mitt from Meguiar's. I haven't used it yet since I'm still enjoying my other mitt. I will use the new MF mitt on my next wash and use my old mitt for everybody else's car.

a soft brush and stick with a spounge i think i get to see what meqaires

I have sheepskin. microfiber and chenille wash mitts!

I use an extra-wide washing brush that Meguiar's used to sell (it's not listed on their store site any more). It covers a lot more area than a mitt, and gets into trim areas very well. Supposedly, the brush was designed not to scratch or swirl, and I'm very careful to use a rinse bucket after each set of body panels, and I thoroughly rinse the brush with the hose when done (plus, my vehicle typically is never dirty enough to have grit on it).

I use a Lowes Grout Sponge when washing with ONR which I use 99% of the time. When washing with tradional soap I use a Lambswool or a MF mit with the long naps
