Makita stays in the OEM bag. G100 stays in a Meg's bag from ADS.
If its fast, loud, and runs on a flammable liquid...count me in.

UDM stays in the red carry bag it came with, along with a 50ft extension cord and a few pads...

            Re: Polisher Storage Method

I store mine in the bag that came with the kit from ADS. I'm looking into another route of storing it due to the Velcro pad getting misshaped. The weight of the polisher sometimes crushes the Velcro pad, causing the edges to roll up.

                Re: Polisher Storage Method

I picked up a couple of Sears tool boxes when they were on sale. They work perfectly and also have room for pads and some other tools.

I usually keep my stuff in one of these. I picked this up for under $50 on one of their sales.

If I have a mobile job I use a couple of these. I got these for $12 each on a sale.

In both examples, I can store the units with the backing plates attached and there is room for pads and other related stuff.

FWIW, Since my G100 came with a lifetime replacement guarantee I kept the original box and receipt in case I ever needed to return it. That was now close to 12 years ago. LOL. Guess I could have discarded the box.

                        Hmmm, voted but never posted.....

This is how I store my G100 and my Rotary:

It has a top portion and 2 drawers, I keep the accessories in the drawers and machines in the top.

I love the cart idea, but I have a gravel driveway hindering anything rolling except when it's frozen and I step out of the Yukon and end up underneath the car next to me

                          Re: Polisher Storage Method

I store all my stuff in their OEM boxes when I don't use them. And I do my best to keep the boxes in excellent, 100% brand new condition. That way, when I sell the item, I get better prices for it.

I sold my old PC7424 for $100, just because the box was in brand new condition.

Here's a cheap and effective way to store power tools. You can usually pick one up at a garage sale.

Not exactly portable for people that use their tools at friends and relatives' homes as much as their own but it does make sense for some people.

I've got this metal case for my 7424. Bonus that it came in PC gray.

Agreed, I was looking at it from a storage perspective. You could put your case and tool in there and take it with you, or you can put the tool in all by itself, your choice.

Most power tools don't stack well and thus they end up taking up a lot of horizontal space. They can also be dangerous if you have kids. This is a safe convenient way to keep them out of site, away from kids etc. You can even lock them up if you want.

It's a suggestion passed down from my older brother to myself. I find it works well for me.
