  • Brent Strohmeyer Memorial Car Show - Sublimity OR - Aug 8th!

This is going to be a GREAT event if you are going to be in the area! It is also a good cause with the scolarships they provide for area high school graduates interested in the car hobby.

    ~ Third Annual ~
    Brent Strohmeyer
Memorial Car Show & Auto Olympics

Brent Strohmeyer (son of Russ and Margie Strohmeyer) of Stayton, OR, died at the age of 20 years as a passenger in an auto accident on September 6, 2001. He was very active in the automotive hobby and loved attending car shows and cruise-ins in his Hugger Orange '69' Chevelle.

Brent enjoyed working on cars and continually strove to learn more and improve his automotive skills. He was a gifted artist and like drawing cars and trucks. His work was featured on car show t-shirts and posters.

Brent believed that classic cars were to be restored, maintained and driven. Not to be neglected, crushed or left to rust away in a field.

Funds for "four" $500.00 scholarships were raised though sponsorship and attendance at the annual Brent Strohmeyer Memorial Car Show in Sublimity, Oregon last year. There were over 200 cars entered in our 2003 show and hundreds of spectators came to view the cars and trucks and pay tribute to Brent. We also held an Auto Olympics where drivers were able to test their skills in a variety of events.

They will have a display honoring Brent's 20 years of life. Candid photographs of Brent, some samples of his photography and drawings he had won awards with, his Hugger Orange '69' Chevelle (he and his dad built), his V8 S-10 pickup (he built) will be on display.

With the help of our sponsors and the people who love cars they hope to continue this tradition of honoring Brent's life, promoting the automotive hobby and offering scholarships to students to help them continue in their quest of fulfilling an education.

Everyone who has the love of cars and trucks is invited to bring your ride, (finished or not), to come and help celebrate his life.
