On the eve of the launch of The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift, we were fortunate enough to get "Behind the Scenes" info on the car stunts by Rhys Millen. Rhys Millen was the lead stunt driver for the movie !!! What is really cool about the driving scenes is they are done by actual "Professional Drift" drivers from the FormulaD drift series.

I watched Rhys perform some of the stunts in FF3TD and it was amazing what he was able to repeat with cars and putting them on the mark all while drifting. He's an amazing driver and very entertaining to watch.

I've been following that car on the series for a while now... Great example of an oz-style drift machine. Nice to see they know the products to use to keep it in shape

How much weight did they remove from Rhys' car compared to stock?

I wish I could have been there! I'm on my second goat. First one was same color!

From an interview I have on DVD:

"OEM has 3750lb. We've reduced the race weight to 2680lb and increased steering lock to 65-68 degrees."

And they run a very light braking system and just use the drift scrub to slow the car down...

Can't believe I missed the Meguiars logo on the rear bumper before.

Agreement with the goats. It was definitely something different to see a long wheelbase V8 going round the track.

Yeah, it would be great to pick up some tips for the daily commute.

The GTO was picked as one of the best cars for drifting, either by one of the car magazines. I think it was Road and Track.
