    Re: nashville tn area

Hey guys, this is what I'm thinking. I've never tried to teach a large group before, but I'm definitely willing. Everyone is welcome to bring their vehicles, but I think it would be easier to focus on 1 or 2. As far as prep work, that's up to you guys. What exactly do you expect to get out of this? Everyone has different expectations for their car or truck and some of you seem to have experience with buffers and some might not. Also if anyone has a nice camera please bring it, I have a small digital camera but its not great for taking detailed shots. Anyone feel free to give me a call with any questions. 32krazy! give me a call when you get a chance, I sent a PM with my #.

Yeah, i dont think im going to be doing much paint correcting on my car, but I guess you never know, since it is still a month or so away. I was planning on basically just learning and maybe using a DA to wax my car, which I've never done. I was probably going to clay my car as well. Im a detailing rookie, so any info is good info for me

you may want to strip the car down ie: wash with dawn and clay the car before coming. then it will only need a quick wash down before starting the da wax.
claying is really no biggie use a car wash and water mix for lube in a spray bottle and wet a section mold the clay in your hand and wipe the section. slippery is better! any direction or circle is fine, clay has no cutting ability. after clay wash and dry done ready for wax.
personally i only wax by hand not with a machine to reduce any chance of swirls. i also use black hole before waxing to deepen the color and wet look
          looking forward to meetring everyone!

I'm going to try to make it if I can. 32krazy, can you PM me with your address so I can Mapquest it? To get from my address in Powell to entering Murfreesboro is right at 3 hours, so I need to plan for that, with maybe a stop in between, plus the time it takes me to get to your house. Again, I don't know 100% if I'll be able to make it or not - I'm just trying to figure out details ahead of time. Thanks!

              Shane

With regards to doing anything on my car, I usually seal it up for the winter around the end of October. If I wanted to maybe try swirl removal or something of the sort, would that be an issue?

                  Re: nashville tn area

OK, I'm going to do my best to be there. The only thing I have yet to do is arrange to get the day off from work, but that shouldn't be a problem. Also, my dad might be coming with me, but that's neither a yes or no at this point, since he is supposed to have surgery on his neck next week, so he will be recovering for a while. Referring back to my list, anything I need to bring? Anything I have anybody wants to try out? What time are you going to start the whole shebang? Hope to see you soon!

Hey 32krazy, any good hotels nearby you can recommend me? I'm looking to spend the night on Saturday and visit Middle Tennessee Baptist Church, located on Richard Road, on Sunday. The pastor is Tony Hutson - I've heard him preach a few times - what a great preacher! But anyway, I'm looking for someplace in a good part of town (obviously), costs preferably no more than $60 per night, and has a continental breakfast. Any place you'd recommend that is fairly decent?
