Re: Looking for Mequiar Detailers in...
Hi Steve,
As we are not far apart here in Huntington Beach ...I’m near Meadowlark Golf Club ... you may want to
contact me about your post “Mequiar's detail shop in Huntington Beach”.
First, there is not a “Mequiar's detail shop in Huntington Beach” that I have ever located. All of the Car Wash places have “Detail Centers” that can and will, for about $150.00, ruin your beautiful ‘Vette’s paint in less than an hour ... while you sit, drink coffee and watch.
In no way am I a professional “Meguiar’s Detailer” and ... so there is no confusion ... I do NOT want to detail your ‘Vette. Got my own “fleet” of my own cars to keep up with which keeps the neighbors talking about the “Car Nut” on the block “that is always washing and polishing his car”.
I see you have signed up for Mike Phillips’ class in January. Smart move!
Went to Mike’s class in 2005 and learned sooo much in a few hours (great pizza too) that I came home that evening and tossed out ALL of the “detailing” supplies I had in my garage and started over using the information that Mike shared at the class and began to stock up on only Meguiar’s products.
Think I must have spent enough over the last few years to make a couple of lease payments on a certain Black Mercedes that parks in the “Reserved” space at Meguiar’s Headquarters in Irvine.
Since Joe “Superior Shine” can not take care of the ‘Vette until later in January (!!) thought I would jump in and see if we can make you “dangerous” before you attend Mike’s class. Who knows, after a couple of hours here in Huntington Beach and Mike’s class you may not even need Joe’s services.
... off the record ... JOE IS THE BEST ... BUT, He’s booked up for the next MONTH ... even if you decide to take care of the ‘Vette your self, Joe sure will not miss the money - He’s loaded.
Joe ... Are you smiling??? Mike, please tell me Joe is smiling.
Any how, if you would like to get together, contact me using the E-mail address listed in my Meguiar’s profile.
Don’t know if I am permitted to post the E-mail address here in this post, but I’ll put it on a separate line (non clickable) so that if it does have to be deleted it is easier for the Mods. Easier to apologize later than ask permission up front ...

Following is a link to the last Meguiar’s Advanced Class #4 that I attended. Scroll down to photo #4006 ... I’m the “young guy” of the three ... NO not that guy ... the “Good Looking Guy” on the left holding the blue tape.
Steve, look forward to meeting you.

Re: Looking for Mequiar Detailers in...
Steve,
If you are interested, I would certainly be willing to work together with you on your vette at my house (I'm in Yorba Linda). "Each one / teach one" as Mike Phillips likes to say. I could show you how to take care of your vette and we could work together to fix whatever issues you are having with your paint.
I too have a vette that I will most likely keep forever, I'm also 58 years old...so we are not too old to learn how to properly care for these fine vehicles.
Let me know if you are interested. Feel free to contact Mike Phillips as he knows me well.-Bob
