    Hi!
Just bought gold class paste wax for the first time and came quicly back home to test it on my motorcycle firstly.

I opened the case and the smell was very bad..like smelling ammonia and worse..Is this usual or I have to exchange it?

    Please help me!

    Sorry for my bad english

Exchange it ! The smell you described doesn't indicate a fresh product. Good luck!

D@MN and the shop its to far from my house.

Anyway I tried the product to a broken plastic of my motorcycle and the results where very good but it was extremely hard to remove it.

It would took me over 2 hours to remove it if I had applied this to my car. I used a microfiber pad.

2hrs. to remove from your car! Make sure the car has the proper surface prep prior to applying & put it on thin. That shpuld cut down removal time.

Gold Class Wax, as all Meguiar's waxes should be applied using a thin coating. If you apply a thin coating, the wax should wipe off easily if you use a quality wiping cloth.

As mentioned previously, if and/or when a car wax wipes off hard this is usually a sign that the wax was applied using too thick of a coat or the finish was not properly clayed, cleaned and polished before applying the wax.

When you get a chance, read through this as it will explain the paint polishing process in order to get great results...

Also, if you're smelling an ammonia smell, this isn't normal. See if you can exchange the product for a new can and check the scent while you're in the store with a sales person present.

I didn't apply the product to my car..I just applied it to a useless plastic part of my motorcycle, using a thin coating, in order to see the results and I found it very hard to remove it.

I went to the shop and without checking the can ( ) they gave me gold class liquid(don't have any problem using liquid of course). Smells good and very easy with removal

Does the liquid wax has the same smell like paste? I am curious because they didn't tell me if the product was really bad...

              Thanks for your time!

They should both have the same scent. I can check first hand next time I go out into the garage.
