Why do so many people use NXT instead of the Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax?

Well... I have used both and both are great procucts but IMO NXT is far better wax.

NXT Durability - Meguiars says it is their longest lasting wax and I have found it to last quite sometime.

NXT Use - applies very easy and removes with a simple wipe, easiest I have ever used both by hand and PC.

NXT Look - gives me the deepest looking finished product by far, IMO can't beat the look on black!

In a nut shell I prefer NXT because of the look, ease of use and durability.

You could also put a layer of NXT followed by DC3.

It's (NXT) the new thing. The same thing happened when Gold Class came out. The DC3 has been around a long time. NXT is a good wax but not my favorite. I like the DC3 better. The initial shine may not be as attractive, but the DC3 is more durable in my opinion. Under my conditions, the DC3 protects better too in my experience. Folks are different and that is why Meguiar's has many different polishes and waxes. Just ask Mike, he has said many times on this forum that some of the best looking cars that he has seen during his weekend detail clinics are cars that have been waxed with the Deep Crystal System.

I have been using DC3 for years, and it is my favorite carnauba based wax. Alot of people still use the DC3, and I'm sure that it will be around for a while.

This is correct. After the classroom portion we often times walk by the attendees cars and ask them what their current car care regimen is and often times the answers given by the owner's of some of the best looking, best maintained finishes is usually

"The Deep Crystal System"



I would say the primary reason the cars of the people that attend our clinics that use the Deep Crystal System have nice looking finishes is because they actively maintain their car with this system

The finish on a majority of the cars that are brought to our classes look horrible and when asked what they do to maintain their finish the answers are usually in this order,

• "Nothing"
  "I wash it"
  "I only use a quick detailer"

It's surprising how many people never apply a wax to their car's paint.

I have been using DC3 for years, and it is my favorite Carnauba based wax. A lot of people still use the DC3, and I'm sure that it will be around for a while.

It's been around for around 25 years now and still going strong...

I agree, Mike. It kills me that someone will spend several thousand dollars on a vehicle but will not take care of it. I understand most people aren't as obsessed like me and most people on this forum, but still, anyone can keep a vehicle clean and waxed.

Another funny thing about DC3, I have used many waxes and polishes over the last 15 years, some have come and gone, but I always comeback to the DC3. I always have a bottle handy. I love the water beading action, and the protection has always been very good imo. Good products will stand the test of time.

Just on a personal note, I had a 93 Pontiac GP, which I babied. I used the Deep Crystal System primarily the entire time I had the car. It still looked very good. In fact, people often thought that the car was new or only a couple of years old. I recently sold it, reluctantly. I got more than the book value for the car because it looked so good.
